Angela S_edited_edited.jpg

Hi! My name is Angela, but I go by Angie! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker born and raised on the South Side of San Antonio. Growing up, my heart was always in helping others in whatever capacity I could and I envisioned a life where I could give back. After graduating with a Bachelors of Arts in Biology from Texas A&M-San Antonio in 2011, I got a job as an associate scientist and quickly realized that my calling was still in helping others. In 2016, I graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University with a Masters in Social Work and in 2019, I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Throughout my career, I have worked in the non-profit sector, education system and private practice, servicing individuals as young as 3 to individuals in their 90s. I have helped clients work through issues such as anxiety, depression, grief and trauma, in both individual and group settings. The most important part of therapy for me is the relationship that I build with the person who is in front of me. Through trust, empathy, respect and compassion, I believe that I can provide a safe space for anyone to openly share. I’m here to help you and I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of your journey. And when I am not at work doing what I love, I enjoy working out, spending time with family and friends and dancing any chance I get.

I am motivated by relationships and creativity, believing there is beauty to be found in every stage of life. I take a systematic approach to counseling by seeking to understand the complexities of life and how they impact my clients. I believe in the power of prayer, the importance of acceptance, and the ability to overcome. I have worked with clients aged 7 to 103 years old!
